What is Letter Boxed?

Letter Boxed is a daily word puzzle from The New York Times. It was launched in 2018 in NYTimes digital games collections and it gained popularity because at start players thought it was impossible to complete this puzzle in the number of words given, then users understood its strategies and understand the concept behind the daily puzzles.

Game is designed in a square with each side having three letters that are connected to form words. Players connect letters arranged on four sides of a square to form a continuous chain of words, ensuring every letter is used at least once. Players can’t use the same side of the square twice, so after each letter from one side players have to choose next letter from other three sides.
